Power solutions for three-phase four-wire smart meters

A three-phase and four-wire smart meter will accurately indicate the electricity consumption, and the data can be uploaded back to the power company to assist in power management, electricity bill management, and fault management; it is more efficient in terms of labor costs, power costs and other related operations. Three-phase and four-wire smart meter is an important perception device that meets the intelligent development of the power grid. The functions and positioning of smart meters are constantly developing towards intelligent and modular power terminals. The smart meter contains an MCU (micro-control unit). The MCU makes the power meter more functional, helping to further improve the degree of automation and intelligence.

There are many applications for three-phase and four-wire smart meters, with power supply voltages ranging from 110VAC, 220VAC, 380VAC or even higher. If the meter uses a conventional AC/DC power supply (input range 85~264VAC), damage is prone to occur. In order to meet the requirements of three-phase power supply ultra-wide input voltage (85VAC~460VAC) and small volume of the meter, Jiangsu Energy Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. has launched the EF05 series ultra-wide input range power module with an input range of up to 65-650VDC, which has very well solved the power supply problems encountered in three-phase four-wire smart meters.
